Heavy Entrapment

October 22, 2019

Company 35 would like to thank all those that assisted with today's tractor trailer crash. Despite the condition of the rig and time of day, companies showed up with numbers. From dispatch to fire to medical to tow operators to air medical to fire police, a complicated job was simplified by a great team effort. The amount of work done, and the number of tools used is far beyond one's comprehension.

The freight truck was carrying metal manhole risers. There were no hazardous materials involved. All fluids were contained on site. There was no rupturing of the rig's saddle tanks. All these factors worked in the favor of responders.

Thank you is not nearly enough to express our appreciation for our mutual aid companies. At the end of the day, the outcome was positive because of this TEAM effort.

This is an example of what can be achieved when people work together. Thanks for assisting us in ensuring a positive outcome! Companies involved--Huntingdon Station 3, Co 36, Co 32, Blair Medic 418, Blair 80, Blair 60, and MedStar. A special thanks to dispatch for their assistance as well. 35 Fire Police always a nice job!
