The heavy snow had Rescue 35 and 35 Fire Police out for a pole and wires down on Pinchot Road. Rescue 35's crew determined there was no immediate hazard and turned the scene over to 35 Fire Police who control traffic and provided scene safety until the incident was resolved.
Later in the evening, crews were alerted for an automatic alarm at Seton. LT 35-4 arrived with normal conditions. Upon investigation he and Assistant 35-1 determined the cause was a faulty smoke alarm. All personnel were held in station.
