Train Derailment

August 4, 2017

Gut wrenching is the only way to explain what happened in Hyndman. Our hearts go out to the residents, and our brother and sister responders. The human spirit of responders is to be commended. These volunteers have not only been uprooted from their homes like the community they serve, but they're working on little sleep and without the comfort of their own homes. Much respect is due for your sacrifices during this incident.

We at Station 35 and Unit 15 wanted to do our part in helping out! Though we're an hour away, the incident still hit home. An early morning delivery of water was made by Unit 15 personnel. A special thanks to Unit 15 Chairperson Warren Rourke for coordinating our relief effort!
