Truck 35 got a bath tonight, and the rig was gone over. Crews checked the hydraulic cylinders, air supply, nozzles, hose, generator, and all the hand tools.
Chief Taylor said, “The truck is an asset that assists with mutual aid for six companies. By periodically checking for cylinder leaks, greasing fittings, extending the ladder, and putting the rig through its paces we help avoid major expenses associated with neglect. Routine maintenance ensures equipment longevity–most would never guess Truck 35 is a 1992 model. We’re fortunate to have an engineering and operator staff that has extensive background in vehicle maintenance.”
